Good news — it's supposed to be sunny and in the low 80s for much of the weekend. That kind of weather calls for a family outing!

Head to downtown Waterbury on Saturday for the Kids Fest, a bustling celebration with music, dancing, crafts and activities.

Saturday is also National Trails Day. South Burlington Parks and Recreation marks the occasion by hosting a gathering where folks work together to ready the paths at Red Rocks Park for the upcoming season, then convene at noon for a barbecue.  At Vermont Institute of Natural Science in Quechee, nature lovers celebrate with an event that includes a hike to Quechee Gorge, a scavenger hunt and live raptor demos.

Bargain hunters seeking strollers, carriers, baby furniture and more will have a field day at the Kids City Gear Swap, taking place on Saturday and Sunday in South Burlington. You can consign your gently-used items by appointment through Friday by calling the store. Or head to St. Albans for the MOPS Mega Mama Tag Sale on Friday and Saturday at Church of the Rock, where maternity and kids clothes, toys and games make for guilt-free shopping.

Or maybe your family wants to take advantage of the last several days of Jazz Fest? The Block Party starts at 5 p.m. on Friday at the top of the Church Street Marketplace and there are free performances on the marketplace on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

Enjoy this warm summer weekend!
