The Bill Reed Summer Musical Theatre Intensive
June 23 – 29, 2013
Join Bill Reed and world-class faculty members from NYC’s Circle in the Square Theater School for a week of professional training in Musical Theater in Vermont. This program focuses on acting technique, working on different voice qualities, anatomy of the vocal mechanism and vocal technique, style and musicality, physical expression, dancing for the stage, as well as college and professional audition prep. The week culminates in a student performance. Private voice lessons are available at Bill Reed Voice Studio throughout the rest of the year. Choose from 30 different weeklong day camp options for children and teens (ages 6 - 18). Camps include: Treehouse Architecture, Sculpture, Drawing, Artsy Chef, Fashion Design, Graffiti, Cartooning, Action Art, Interior Design, Georgia O'Keefe Painting, Caribbean Beach Party, Land of Wild Things, Ocean Adventures, Calder's Circus, Forest Friends, Mapping Imaginary Lands, Art & Geometry, Marvelous Machines, Graphic Design, Nature Art & more. Kids camps, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. (aftercare available until 5:30 p.m.) Teen Camp hours are 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Over 30 summer camps for creative kids and teens in acting, singing, dance, radio, film, comedy, puppetry, improv, jazz music, musical theater, and more! Camp themes include Star Wars, Wizards, Pirates, Muppets, Fairy Tales, and many other favorite stories and characters. 13-19-year-olds ready to perform can audition for two summer musicals: Shrek, the Musical and Into the Woods. Professional faculty, ties to Vermont’s premiere stages, and after-camp care for working parents make the Flynn a terrific place to get creative!
The Renaissance School is a state-approved, independent, elementary day school, located at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne. The Renaissance School offers a strong focus in outcome-based education with an emphasis on individualized programs in mathematics and language arts within a values based educational community. Summer camp programs are also available.
