Sat., April 7, 10 a.m.-3:30 p.m. 2012
$11-12 adult; $3-6 child; free for children under 3.
Human kids get up close with newborn calves, lambs, chicks, ducklings and goslings while learning about their care, diet and growth from experienced farming interpreters. Those inspired by the adorable nature of it all make crafts like pom-pom chicks and lamb handprints. Horse-drawn wagons will be available for tours of the 250-acre working dairy farm where visitors can see the Jersey herd, horses and pair of oxen. As a parting gift, all guests are invited to celebrate the return of the sun by planting an heirloom seed in a cup to take home. With so many signs of spring, there will be no doubt that the seasons have changed.
