Apples and pumpkins get top billing during two days of festivities showcasing their tasty — and playful — attributes. Where else but at the Pumpkin & Apple Festival can you find apples hanging from strings in oak trees, daring kids to take a bite without using their hands? Or pumpkins used as bowling balls? Apple- and pumpkin-inspired snacks abound, and visitors of all ages are encouraged to have a hand at pressing cider, drying fruit, making apple butter and churning ice cream. And don’t forget to save room for the apple taste test!
