Summer's start is a fine time to dust off those running shoes and get movin'. To get folks going, multiple locations offers weekly races, both for running and biking, that meld fitness and fun. With distances geared towards kids – and grown-up challenges, too – these races are more about camaraderie than competition — and everyone who participates is a winner.

Pounding the Pavement

Looking to fill a weekend morning with a healthy activity? Community races offer both the standard 5K or longer race, while catering to the kiddie crowd with fun-run options.
