Re: “ECHO Camps

My son has attended Echo camps for 3 years now and has enjoyed each year. The camp counselors are calm and considerate. The camp itself is pretty low key in a good way. Children are encouraged to participate in a way that is respectful of their personalities and differences. I highly recommend this camp!

Re: “Wildflowers Studio

Both of my sons attended a week long camp. The older son was on the older end and I was worried he might not have a good time and the younger son was on the younger end. The both had a fabulous time. Both camp directors were fun, kind, and good at making the kids comfortable. Both boys asked to go back next year.

Re: “New Village Farm Camps

Our son fell in LOVE with farming due to his amazing experience at New Village Farm last summer. He has spoken about his experiences, and hopeful future experiences at this farm - almost daily - since he said good-bye to the gorgeous farmland, sweet animals, and kind, caring, experienced staff. We loved the raw, unpolished view of farming, and the safe approachable and hands-on learning the staff provided each child. We are so ever appreciative of this teaching farm, and the amazing milk/produce that they produce. We will certainly enroll our son again!

Re: “Audubon Vermont

Our 2 kids have been attending Audubon Vermont's Preschool Nature Camp and Ecology Day Camp for years. As we sit down as a family to discuss what summer programs they are interested in attending, Audubon is always at the top of the list; no small statement given the number of other great programs they have had a chance to experience! The natural classroom they learn and play in is incredibly diverse and the staff is always top notch. Highly recommended for your 3-12 year old!

Re: “Lake Champlain Waldorf School

Having gone to this school from Kindergarten through 8th grade, and now working at the school, I have found a community where I feel great about raising my daughter. My love of learning was fostered here, and I know my daughter will delight in building a strong foundation of learning and resilience that will surely give her all she needs to be happy and successful in life. This place is such a gift to my family!

Re: “The Hairy Bear

I sent my son with my fiance to get his hair cut here, because I had heard they did a good job with kids. I sent him with the request for a "men's regular" and a picture of my brother's hair (his wedding is this weekend and my son is the ring bearer, and I am trying to match their haircuts).
He came back with literally the worst haircut I have ever seen in my life. I could have easily done better than that myself (I cut my fiance's hair). The fade was non-existent and had a completely irregular edge (up and down by nearly an inch). The top of his hair was basically like a wolverine haircut...high on the sides and short in the middle...it looked absurd. And she had SPIKED it! For a "regular" haircut!
I almost cried. The wedding is this weekend, and the cut is horrible. With my parents' help we were able to fix it enough to not be a complete embarrassment. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Re: “The Golden Apple Preschool and Learning Center

This preschool rocks! Owner/Educator Emily has an approach that helps kids learn and develop to their best potential while also allowing them to be KIDS! My son started Kindergarten ahead of the game and, now in the 3rd grade, has continued to score ahead of schedule on assessments throughout. He is a bright kid but I heavily credit Emily's influence with his optimistic sense of curiosity and love of learning. He still visits any time he can and I would not choose any other provider.

Re: “Wingspan Studio

Wingspan Studio's summer programming for youth is enriching and inspiring. The way art, nature and education are incorporated into the exciting, creative curriculum is unique and significant -- there are not many other places, I believe, where a child may benefit from this sort of experiential creativity and inspiration. Highly recommend!

Re: “Wingspan Studio

Wonderful, creative program, caring teacher, small groups. Take advantage of having a 'real' working artist instruct your children this summer. Flexible schedule and varied offerings!
