Kids VT Camp & School Fair

Burlington Hilton: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Find the perfect camp, school or educational program for your kids at this annual expo. Representatives from dozens of camps and schools from all over Vermont and the region will share summer schedules and answer questions. Cost: free. Click here for event details.

Winter Weekend

Church Street Marketplace: Winter Lights switch on: Friday, February 6, at 5 p.m. Ice Activities: Saturday, February 7, noon-4 p.m. Enjoy fun ice games, beautiful ice sculptures, a live ice-carving demo and the magnificent Winter Lights display on the Church Street Marketplace at this winter celebration sponsored by Citizens Bank. Winterfest at ECHO

ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center: 10 a.m.- 5 p.m. Visit the Family Expo in ECHO’s Lakeside Hall and experience the new exhibit “Playing Together: Games,” along with other ECHO programming. Cost: half off ECHO admission. Click here for event details.

Special Olympics Vermont Penguin Plunge

Burlington Waterfront Park: 11 a.m. Watch more than 1,200 plungers brave the icy waters of Lake Champlain for the 20th anniversary Penguin Plunge. Plus, sample delicious food from local vendors and help raise funds and awareness for the 950 Special Olympics Vermont athletes. Cost: free for spectators; $25 registration fee +$150 fundraising minimum for plungers. Plungers may register the day of the event. Click here for event details.

Family Expo

ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center: 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Make arts and crafts and win prizes. The first 200 kids in the door get a free movie pass. Cost: free with admission to ECHO. Click here for event details.
