White people need to dismantle a racist parade mural on the Church Street Marketplace that codes "Only White Lives Matter."

For an example of classic institutionalized white supremacy, read the artist's 'splaination of his treatment of Black and Indigenous Vermonters in the full text of his letter appended to Seven Days article in link below.

According to the artist and mural sponsors, Abenaki Vermonters are not recognized in the historic period 1609-2009 represented in the mural. The only named/notable black person in the mural is a man who identified, and was known by all, as a white Vermonter his entire life. After he died, the one drop of blood law labeled him a Negro, a children's book cover presented him that way, and the image was copied onto the mural.
