The Saint Albans Museum (SAM) was constructed in 1861, and this historic site (a former school) has something for everyone. Discover the stories of the people and places that define northern Vermont as you explore two floors of exhibits and displays, including the St. Albans Raid (northernmost land-action of the Civil War), the railroad, local art, our French heritage, and more! The Research Room is open to the public by appointment, and the Bliss Room is available for meetings, weddings, and other special events. Self-paced or guided tours with a Museum ambassador are available. SAM is a Blue Star Museum.
