Confident Care for Kids (CCFK) is an initiative throughout Vermont's community-based pediatric and family care practices that aims to create less stressful vaccine visits for children who have high-sensory needs and experience anxiety when they get vaccinated. Getting a shot can be stressful or traumatic, especially for children who have disabilities or special health needs, which can be a barrier to accessing the COVID-19 vaccine, leaving them vulnerable to the threat of infection. CCFK is here to help parents and caregivers join forces with their child’s pediatric or family practice to create vax visits with less stress.
